Expertise & Craftsmanship

“At every step, you can see the wealth of knowledge Harold Guinther and his crew bring to the job,” one homeowner raved. Clients consistently praise the crew’s professionalism, from surface preparation to finishing touches. Whether advising on the best low-VOC paint for a nursery or recommending the ideal sheen for high-traffic hallways, Harold’s personal involvement guarantees that each detail aligns with your vision. His skillful cabinet work complements painted surfaces beautifully, creating a seamless, cohesive look throughout your home.

Attention to Historical Detail

For owners of older properties, preserving architectural authenticity is paramount. Harold Guinter Painting & Paperhanging shines in historically sensitive restorations, re-glazing every window with bubble-glass salvaged or replicated to match original panes. When necessary, broken windowpanes are replaced with material that mirrors the home’s era, maintaining both integrity and charm. Exterior storm windows are carefully removed, stripped, primed, and painted to protect existing woodwork while retaining historic character—an approach that earns high praise from preservation-minded homeowners.

Meticulous, Clean Work Process

Clean job sites and meticulous execution define every project. “His crew works clean and is very meticulous,” noted one satisfied customer. From protecting furniture and flooring with drop cloths to employing dust-minimizing techniques, the team treats your home as if it were their own. This dedication to orderliness not only safeguards your belongings but also streamlines project timelines—so you enjoy beautiful, long-lasting results without extended disruption.

Comprehensive Solutions & Versatility

One of Harold Guinter Painting & Paperhanging’s standout qualities is its versatility. You might call them in for a fresh coat of paint and end up with restored windows, new storm doors, or a flawlessly finished basement floor—all under one contract. “They also replaced four storm doors and finished a basement floor for us,” shared a local resident. By offering multiple trades in one package, Harold’s team simplifies project management, ensuring continuity of quality from start to finish.

Pricing & Value

While the company’s workmanship and historical expertise set a high bar, some clients have commented that quoted prices can exceed local market norms. “They gave my mother a quote of $1,500 to power-wash an 1,800 sq. ft. home... What a rip-off! Beware!” noted one reviewer. It’s important to weigh initial estimates against long-term value: many homeowners conclude that the crew’s skillful preparation, premium materials, and lasting results justify the investment. For those seeking budget-minded options, Harold’s team is happy to explore scaled-back scopes or phased approaches to fit a range of budgets.

Customer Satisfaction & Reputation

At the end of every job, the greatest measure of success is a happy customer. Across Blandon and neighboring communities, homeowners consistently report being “very pleased with the finished result.” Positive word-of-mouth has become a cornerstone of the business—neighbors recommend Harold Guinter Painting & Paperhanging before even seeing samples in person.
