A Reverent Worship Experience

At Sacred Heart, every Mass is celebrated with meticulous attention to liturgy and a deep sense of reverence. From the moment you step inside our beautifully maintained sanctuary, you’ll sense the quiet dignity that parishioners describe as both welcoming and spiritually enriching. The carefully choreographed liturgical rites—from the procession to the Eucharistic prayer—invite you to enter more fully into the mystery of faith.

Key features of our worship include:

• Moving Choir & Organ Music
Our organist and choir are praised by visitors and long-time members for delivering music that stirs the soul. “The church offers beautiful Masses, moving choir and organ music by very talented people,” one attendee raves. Whether it’s the soaring harmonies of a traditional hymn or the reflective strains of contemplative music, our musicians enhance every moment of the liturgy.
• High-Quality Audio System
We understand how important it is to hear every word of the prayers, readings, and hymns. That’s why we’ve invested in a state-of-the-art speaker system. Parishioners note, “The speaker system is very good. Can hear priest, liturgists, and cantors clearly 😊♥️,” ensuring that you never miss a single insight or amen.

Inspiring Sermons & Spiritual Reflection

Thoughtful preaching lies at the heart of our spiritual formation, and few deliver more compelling homilies than Fr. Hutta. Recognized time and again for his insightful reflections, he has a gift for helping the congregation pause, reflect, and renew their faith journey. One commenter shared, “Fr. Hutta has incredible sermons that cause you to take pause and reflect… made us visitors feel very welcome during the holiday week. Great sermon!”

Our clergy team brings a wealth of theological knowledge, pastoral sensitivity, and authentic care to every message. Each sermon is crafted to speak to contemporary challenges, Scripture insights, and the timeless truths of our Catholic tradition—offering inspiration to longtime Catholics and newcomers alike.

A Warm & Welcoming Community

More than just a place of worship, Sacred Heart is a family. Visitors and parishioners consistently highlight the open-door policy that makes everyone—from cradle Catholics to curious seekers—feel at home. As one parishioner put it, “Very welcoming Catholic community… whether they are members or not, their doors are open to us all!!”

Our community life extends well beyond Sunday Mass:

• Fellowship Opportunities: From after-Mass coffee hours to seasonal events, there are endless ways to meet fellow parishioners, build lasting friendships, and deepen your sense of belonging.
• Service & Outreach: We believe that faith calls us to action. Through food drives, volunteer teams, and charitable initiatives, our parishioners live out the Gospel by serving those in need across West Reading and beyond.
