• Clothing and accessories (t-shirts, hats, scarves)
• Toys, puzzles, and board games for all ages
• Collectibles, including limited-edition penny press designs

Whether you’re stocking up on birthday presents or hunting for a talking-point piece to accent your living room, you can count on Shady Maple to spark your imagination.

Authentic Amish-Made Furniture & Crafts

Our adjoining Amish furniture store and crafts area is a standout feature that sets Shady Maple apart from generic gift outlets. Here, you’ll find:

• Solid-wood dining tables, chairs, and buffets handcrafted by local Amish artisans
• Custom-order Amish quilts, blankets, and bedding made to your specifications
• Hand-stitched pillows, throws, and wall hangings

Shoppers frequently praise this section: “I talked to one of the women about ordering a custom quilted blanket,” and “Browsing through the Amish quilt store and found several good items I purchased.” These genuine, locally made goods underscore our commitment to quality and tradition, offering heirloom-worthy pieces that homeowners cherish for years.

Delightful Surprises Around Every Corner

Part of the magic of Shady Maple Gift Shop is uncovering those small, joy-inducing extras:

• Candy Counter at the Entrance: Our colorful candy station is stocked with nostalgic sweets—just the impulse buy to start your visit on a sweet note.
• Penny Press Machine: A favorite among collectors and families, the penny press offers four to six interchangeable designs, making each coin a personalized keepsake.

These features delight guests from the moment they step in, as one visitor noted, “Lots of figurines, souvenirs, and even a candy shop area.”

Friendly Service That Feels Like Family

Exceptional service is the cornerstone of our guest experience. Our team prides itself on warm, attentive assistance, whether you need a product recommendation, help finding the right size, or guidance through our custom-order process. It’s no surprise that many customers mention staff members by name—especially Steve, who is “incredibly friendly and welcoming.” This personal touch transforms a routine shopping trip into a memorable outing, ensuring you leave with both the perfect purchase and a smile.

Balancing Value & Quality

With such an extensive selection, pricing naturally varies. Many guests appreciate our unique offerings but occasionally note that certain specialty items—particularly large Amish furniture pieces—can be pricier than mass-produced alternatives. “Prices are about four times as much as they should be…a shelf was $1,300, wow,” observed one shopper, while another commented, “It’s a bit pricey but huge selection of various products.” We continually review our pricing to provide competitive value while upholding the craftsmanship and authenticity that define each product.

If you plan to sample our famous on-site buffet, be aware that weekend crowds can lead to wait times—guests have reported line ups of 30 minutes or more at peak hours. For a relaxed experience, consider a weekday or early-arrival slot to beat the rush.
