Sheetz

Located in the heart of Reading, PA, Sheetz has become a local landmark for travelers, commuters, and neighborhood patrons alike. More than just a convenience store, this full-service destination combines a gas station, car wash, coffee shop, restaurant, beer store, and wine shop under one roof. Whether you’re filling up your tank, grabbing a quick snack, or enjoying a leisurely meal, Sheetz balances speed with variety. Its well‐known made‐to‐order kitchen (MTO) churns out fresh sandwiches, tacos, and snacks alongside an expansive self‐serve beverage bar, and a full selection of grab‐and‐go items.

Innovative Technology Streamlines Your Visit

For customers who prize efficiency, Sheetz’s mobile app and in-store kiosks have become a game‐changer. Placing orders from your phone or at a touchscreen station cuts down on wait times and ensures your meal is ready when you arrive. “Ordering food with the app beats waiting in line. Your food is ready for pickup when you get there,” raves one regular. The same digital convenience extends to curbside pickup—perfect for busy parents or professionals on tight schedules. Even if the store gets busy, technology keeps your experience smooth, letting you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying what you ordered.

Made-to-Order Menu and Specialty Drinks

Sheetz’s kitchen prides itself on a diverse menu that ranges from classic subs and burgers to creatively crafted specialty drinks. One standout favorite is the Dairy-Free Fluffernutter—an off‐menu custom creation that delighted a customer who needed a lactose-free treat. “They made me a dairy-free fluffernutter drink and it was totally awesome!” shared one reviewer, highlighting the team’s ability to tweak recipes for special dietary needs. While some guests have encountered occasional inconsistencies—missing sandwich components or undercooked items—the overall reputation for fresh, customizable fare keeps patrons coming back.

Friendly Faces Behind the Counter

Customer service at Sheetz is as varied as its menu, but the highs are noteworthy. Staff members like David and Supervisor Josh have earned special mention for going above and beyond. David once lent a customer his personal cell phone so they could place an order, illustrating genuine care and problem-solving. Josh surprised a chilly morning visitor with a complimentary hot coffee, earning praise for making a routine stop feel like a warm welcome. “He’s the true meaning of a caring employee,” one guest commented. Although a few experiences have been less smooth—ranging from curt interactions to complaints handled imperfectly—many patrons leave with stories of personalized service that make a regular pit stop feel uniquely human.

A Clean, Welcoming Environment

Cleanliness and comfort are hallmarks of this Reading Sheetz location. Floors gleam, restrooms are routinely refreshed, and seating areas offer a pleasant spot to eat or catch up on emails via free Wi-Fi. Ample parking, including handicap spots and accessible entry ramps, ensures that everyone can enter with ease. Self‐serve stations are well stocked, from multiple soda dispensers to ice cream taps. A handful of late‐night visits have noted restocking lapses in the women’s restroom, but overall, the facility’s upkeep earns high marks and reinforces Sheetz’s commitment to a positive customer environment.

Gas, Beer, and Wine: Great Value on the Go

Beyond coffee and snacks, Sheetz’s reputation for competitive fuel prices is well earned. One Fourth of July weekend saw 87/88 octane gas for just $1.77 per gallon—a rare find that delighted budget-minded drivers. The adjacent beer and wine store caters to both planners and party hosts, with a curated selection that spans local craft brews to international varietals. While some customers perceive snack prices as on the higher side, the overall package—fuel, food, and adult beverages—delivers a level of convenience and quality that many feel justifies the cost.
