The Lehigh Store

Nestled in the heart of Bethlehem, PA, The Lehigh Store combines the warmth of a college bookstore with the charm of a boutique gift shop. Offering an eclectic array of Lehigh-branded apparel, campus essentials, and academic supplies, this two-level destination caters to students, alumni, families, and visitors alike. Whether you’re hunting for the perfect Under Armour hoodie, stocking up on stationery, or simply seeking a cozy spot to recharge, The Lehigh Store delivers an experience that captures the spirit of Lehigh University.

A Warm (and Occasionally Surprising) Welcome

From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted by friendly faces eager to help you navigate shelves stocked with everything from textbooks to trinkets. Many customers rave that “the two young ladies were very helpful,” guiding them to the right merchandise or class materials. On rare occasions, service can feel a bit inconsistent—one shopper noted that “Sandy responded rudely when I asked a simple question”—but the store’s leadership is committed to fostering an atmosphere where genuine hospitality prevails.

Unmatched Selection of Lehigh Branded Merchandise

One of The Lehigh Store’s standout features is its sheer variety of Lehigh-specific products. Apparel aficionados will delight in racks of T-shirts, sweatshirts, and outerwear emblazoned with the Mountain Hawk logo. Premium brands like Under Armour elevate the selection, drawing feedback such as “Inventory is pricey, but the brands are quality,” and “Bought some nice clothes. Under Armour.” For those seeking lighter souvenirs, unique accessories—like the crowd-favorite Lehigh Mom license plate decal—add a personal touch to any vehicle or locker: “Loving my Lehigh Mom license plate decal,” enthused one happy customer.

A Cozy Atmosphere to Linger And Learn

Beyond retail aisles, The Lehigh Store doubles as a welcoming gathering spot. A café and lounge area, complete with comfortable seating, outlets, and free Wi-Fi, beckons students and alumni to linger over a latte or pull out a few chapters of required reading. Patrons appreciate that “the store was rather large with a café, restrooms, and a lounge to the right side as you walk in,” and that “they had places to sit with outlets and internet speeds up 6 mbs.” This thoughtful layout transforms a quick shopping trip into a chance to catch up on homework, meet a friend, or simply take a well-deserved break.

Stationery & Academic Essentials Under One Roof

For students and educators, The Lehigh Store is more than just Branded gear—it’s a one-stop shop for academic essentials. From spiral notebooks and highlighters to scientific calculators and planners, the stationery selection rivals any specialty store. Visitors have praised the convenience of finding “all the stationery under one roof with excellent customer service,” ensuring that every needed supply is at hand when the semester ramps up.

Quality You Can Depend On

While some shoppers note that prices can be on the higher side—“Nice but very expensive,” quipped one reviewer—most agree that The Lehigh Store’s quality justifies the investment. Apparel crafted by reputable labels holds up to frequent wear, and the durability of textbooks, folders, and gear meets the demands of busy student life. Discounts, coupons, and seasonal sales often help bridge the gap for budget-conscious buyers, making prized items more accessible to every visitor.

Navigating Book Selection Versus Apparel Focus

As a bookstore by name, some guests arrive expecting towering shelves of bestsellers and literary classics. Instead, they find a curated collection of required textbooks, academic guides, and a modest assortment of general-interest titles. “It doesn’t actually have many books… full of Lehigh-emblazoned clothing,” observed one customer. While this emphasis on logo merchandise reflects The Lehigh Store’s commitment to school spirit, book lovers may need to temper expectations or explore other venues for an expansive fiction or non-academic section.

The On-Site Starbucks: Perk with Perspective

One of The Lehigh Store’s most talked-about amenities is its in-house Starbucks counter, where the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the scent of new textbooks. For many, it’s a perfect pairing: grab a cappuccino, then stroll through aisles of apparel and accessories. However, service here can be hit-or-miss—“Starbucks inside is terrible, waited 15 min for the barista to show up”—and customers have reported that Starbucks cards aren’t accepted at this location. Still, when everything clicks, patrons say “the Starbucks tea I got was also very pleasant,” proving that even a small coffee counter can enhance the student experience.

Why The Lehigh Store Stands Out

By blending campus culture with retail and relaxation, The Lehigh Store has carved out a unique niche in Bethlehem’s vibrant business landscape. Its friendly staff (with a focus on continuous training), extensive range of branded goods, high-quality apparel, and inviting lounge spaces make it more than just a shopping destination—it’s a community hub. Whether you’re picking up last-minute school supplies, treating yourself to premium Under Armour gear, or claiming your coveted Lehigh Mom license plate decal, you’ll discover that The Lehigh Store is as much about connection as it is about commerce.
