Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum in Lancaster, PA is the state's museum of Pennsylvania German history, heritage, lifeways and farming, administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

A village of historic buildings, log cabins, brick and stone houses, a firehouse and barns, with demonstrations of traditional crafts and skills and an heirloom seed project. The museum has operated since 1925 and suggests two to three hours for a complete visit. Harvest Days in October adds craft demonstrations, a tractor-pulled wagon ride, a pumpkin patch, food trucks and live music.

Before you go

Parking is free. Most buildings have ADA ramps and two wheelchairs are available to borrow. Snacks and drinks are sold on site, and groups of 10 or more can book catered Pennsylvania Dutch meals. Only service animals are admitted. Buy Harvest Days tickets in advance online.

Coming up

Harvest Days runs October 10 to 11, 2026, 9 AM to 4 PM, with traditional craft demonstrations, a tractor-pulled wagon ride, a pumpkin patch, food trucks and live music. An America 250 lecture on Pennsylvania Dutch food traditions follows on October 30 and a Pennsylvania German Christmas candy workshop on November 21.
