The Antietam Valley Farmers & Artists Market sets up in the heart of the Antietam Valley at the Antietam Valley Rec Center on Byram Street in Pennside, bringing growers and makers together for a relaxed two hours at the start of the week. Doors are open from 5 to 7 p.m. on select Mondays from July through September, which makes it an easy stop on the way home from work or an after dinner walk for neighbors nearby.
The market runs rain or shine. When the weather turns, vendors simply move inside the Rec Center, so a gray sky is no reason to change your plans. There is an off street parking lot on site, plus plenty of street parking close by.
The market is organized by the Antietam Valley Community Partnership, a local nonprofit focused on the quality of life in the Antietam Valley, so browsing the tables also supports neighborhood efforts. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come look around.
