Skeleton Keyframe brings its animation showcase from the screen to the seats with a full day of independent animated films at The Boscov Theater inside GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. The Reading based platform has built a following by collecting work from animators around the world and spotlighting it through its online awards show, and this gathering marks its step into in person screenings.
The day is organized into blocks of short films grouped by style, with 2D, 3D, and stop motion each getting their own run of time, plus full length feature screenings along the way. That structure makes it easy to settle in for the whole day or drop into the format that interests you most, whether you are drawn to hand drawn work, computer animation, or the patience of frame by frame puppetry.
For animation students, working artists, and anyone who simply likes seeing what independent creators are making, it is a chance to watch films on a proper theater screen in the middle of Reading's arts campus.
