Fatherhood Classes and Counseling From Berks Community Action Program

Berks Community Action Program runs the Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Program, which supports, counsels and challenges fathers to become strong and positive role models within their families.

The program is available to all fathers who are interested. There are no restrictions in terms of age, income, marital status or the age of your children.

Fathers get monthly seminars and workshops along with one-on-one counseling. The program also assists fathers with employment services and with information and referral for housing. The Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Resources Center is located in the BCAP offices.

Those offices are at 645 Penn Street, 3rd Floor, PO Box 22, Reading, PA 19601. BCAP's general number is 610-376-6571 and its general email address is info@bcapberks.org. Staff at the agency are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer questions, and the office is closed for lunch daily from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. You can also plan a trip to the office on public transportation through the Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA).

The page gives few other details. It does not describe how to sign up or enroll, when the monthly seminars and workshops meet, or what the program costs, so ask about all of that when you get in touch.
