Daily Meals for Seniors at Mama Angie's Casa de la Amistad in Reading
Centro Hispano Daniel Torres serves culturally appropriate nutritional daily meals to older adults at Mama Angie's Casa de la Amistad Senior Center, 25 N. 2nd Street in Reading, where people also spend the day together instead of alone at home.
The center is for adults over 60 years of age. It has been open since 1988 as a community center working to prevent the crippling psychological and physical effects of isolation, and it is funded through the County Area Agency on Aging.
