Rapid Rehousing From the Salvation Army in Reading
The Salvation Army Reading Citadel runs a Rapid Rehousing program for people who need help getting back into a home of their own. Clients who qualify get help locating a home, temporary money toward their rent, Case Management, and skills in budgeting and goal setting.
Case Managers also help clients apply for utility assistance programs and work with them to find resources for medical, mental and emotional needs.
Everyone in the housing programs can join voluntary Life Skills Classes, held every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Presenters from around the county teach resume building, career opportunities, nutrition, violence prevention, coping mechanisms and more.
The page does not say who qualifies for Rapid Rehousing, how much rent money you can get or for how long, what it costs, or how to apply, so ask about all of that before you count on it. It also does not say whether a referral or an appointment is needed.
