Development Assistant

Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank seeks an energetic, detail-oriented fundraising staff member for its Development and Marketing Team. The Development Assistant reports to and collaborates with the Director of Development to help raise support and awareness for the organization's work.

Duties include:

• mastering the DonorPerfect database and maintaining accuracy and integrity of donor records and giving history;
• performing data searches and pulling reports on historic giving to support direct response mailings and donor stewardship;
• assisting with identifying major and mid-level giving prospects and researching current and potential donors;
• working with DonorSearch wealth screening tools and database consultants on projects such as wealth screening and cleaning up address records;
• keeping the staff team apprised of database updates and ensuring consistent data entry across the team;
• acting as main point of contact and liaison for schools, companies, and community organizations holding food drives, events, or fundraisers on behalf of Helping Harvest;
• serving as point of contact for all local organizations and companies holding food drives;
• providing administrative and scheduling support to the Development and Marketing team;
• supporting the Volunteer Coordinator, including assistance with VolunteerHub, the volunteer tracking database;
• supporting and representing Helping Harvest at events in the community;
