Overview

East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented Editing & Entering Clerk t o support the Motive Power team. This position is responsible for reviewing, processing, and entering battery and parts orders into the configurator system, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the order fulfillment process. The successful candidate will work closely with Customer Service, Traffic, COS, and Assembly departments while maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Process and enter Motive Power battery and parts orders into the configurator system.

Review customer orders and select the appropriate product options based on specifications.

Proofread orders for accuracy and completeness prior to entry.

Research and resolve discrepancies before processing orders.

Verify all completed files are received from the plant.

Assemble and organize paperwork to create complete order files.

Prepare files for scanning and maintain accurate records.

Set up new customer accounts.

Prepare and process UPS shipments and related documentation.

Create and prepare work orders for COS and Assembly departments.

Communicate effectively with Customer Service and Traffic departments regarding order status and requirements.

Perform general clerical duties including:

Answering phones

Filing

Faxing

Photocopying

Scanning

Data entry

Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain regular attendance.*

Work mandatory overtime as required.*

Produce high-quality work while meeting departmental standards.

Follow proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

*These duties are considered essential functions of the position.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Reading Skills

Basic reading and comprehension skills.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills, including:

Addition

Subtraction

Multiplication

Division

Computer Skills

Strong computer proficiency required.

Experience with:

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Excel

Data entry systems

Personal Computer (PC) applications

Key File systems

Mainframe systems

Glovia (preferred)

Reasoning Skills

Ability to research issues and resolve discrepancies.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple tasks.

Communication Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong telephone etiquette.

Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and multiple departments.

Additional Requirements

Exceptional attention to detail.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Accurate typing and data entry skills.

Experience using a 10-key calculator.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
