Job Description

Setter Ridge Vineyards, a small-lot premium vinifera vineyard on 30 acres of estate vineyards in the Lehigh Valley AVA of Berks County, southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, seeks highly motivated, self-starting individuals for its 2026 harvest team.

The position starts in mid to late June and runs through the end of November, with flexible hours and the possibility of part-time or full-time work; shift work and overtime may be possible.

The harvest worker assists production and winemaking staff with all harvest-related activities.

Cellar Duties Include

  • Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, presses, hoses and other winery equipment
  • Pumpovers and punch downs
  • Draining, emptying and pressing must from tanks
  • Barrel work and topping
  • Assisting the full-time crew with receiving fruit and crushing/de-stemming
  • Wine movements such as racking and transfers
  • and general winery cleaning.

Lab Duties Include

  • Sampling and lab analysis
  • Chemical additions
  • Yeast and ML inoculations
  • and nutrient additions.

Candidates should be hard working with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, pay close attention to detail, be committed to quality and passionate about wine.

Previous harvest experience is preferred but not required.

This is a paid position.

Requirements Include

  • The ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to read and follow work orders
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work safely
