Mechanical Engineer

Martarano Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team, working in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design. Responsibilities include calculating heating and cooling loads for building systems, surveying existing mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems, designing air distribution and exhaust systems, selecting and laying out mechanical equipment, calculating and designing domestic water, sanitary and gas piping systems and equipment, preparing job-specific specifications, meeting clients' project goals and objectives, and being responsible for business development and pursuing new clients and projects. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited Mechanical Engineering program with experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, and must have a comprehensive understanding of the architectural, engineering and construction industry along with knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards. Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects, have strong oral and written communication skills, and understand computer programs such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Revit, and ComCheck. Licensing: an EIT preparing for or having taken the PE exam is the minimum; a registered Professional Engineer capable of obtaining licensure in PA, OH, NJ, NY, DE and MD if not already registered.
