Texas Hold 'em is a weekly card game group at the Berks Encore Fleetwood Wellness & Activity Center. Players gather to deal hands of the popular poker variant, and the focus is on friendly play and good company rather than competition.
The group meets on Friday afternoons at 1 PM at the center on Kutztown Road in Fleetwood. It is one of several card and game activities at Fleetwood, alongside pinochle, bingo and other social programs, so newcomers will find other regulars around the building.
This activity is for older adults who use the Berks Encore centers. No equipment is needed; just come ready to play. If you would like to know whether beginners are welcome or how to join the table, call the Fleetwood center at (610) 947-1700 and ask for the center manager. The center is open weekday mornings and afternoons, and closures are posted on its Facebook page.
