Starts Tue, Oct 20, 10:00 AM · Member: $63.75 / Non-Member: $75.00 · Ages 8 to 17

About the workshop
This workshop introduces the basics of glassblowing and is designed just for homeschooled students. Students learn how hot glass is blown and sculpted, and pick up some of the chemistry behind the process and the colors. Everyone works hands on in the studio, turning molten glass into a flower or a paperweight to take home.
The class is open to all skill levels and is taught by a GoggleWorks instructor. Sessions meet on a Tuesday morning in the Glassblowing Studio, Building 5, on the GoggleWorks campus in Reading. Staff at the front desk can point you to the right building when you arrive.
Closed-toe shoes are required, and students with long hair need a hair tie. Please bring your own water bottle. Written permission is required for students under 18. Registration closes several business days before the class starts, so sign up early through the GoggleWorks class page. Scholarships are available.
