This class covers the basics of screen printing at GoggleWorks in Reading. You begin by drawing your idea, then learn how to prepare a screen and pull ink across it to print your design. It runs over three Wednesday evening sessions, from 6 PM to 9 PM, and it is open to all skill levels.
Bring a sketchbook with ideas so you can get started on printing right away. The class meets in the Printmaking Studio, room 201, on the second floor of the GoggleWorks building at 201 Washington St. Staff at the front desk can point you to the room when you arrive.
The class is for ages 14 and up, including teens and adults. Students under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, so contact GoggleWorks ahead of time for the form. Registration closes five business days before the start date, and you can sign up on the GoggleWorks class page. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
