This sewing class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts walks you through making a pumpkin-shaped pillow. You work on basic machine sewing and hand sewing as you go, starting with cutting fabric, then assembling the pieces, stuffing the pillow, and adding finishing touches. You take your finished fall decoration home with you.
The class meets on Saturday afternoons in the Textiles Studio, room 316, on the third floor of GoggleWorks at 201 Washington St in Reading. It is open to all skill levels, so no prior sewing experience is needed. Ages 14 and up may take part, and teens under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, which the program staff can provide by email.
Registration is handled on the GoggleWorks class page, and sign ups close five business days before the start date. Payment is due at the time of registration, and refund and cancellation terms are listed with the provider's registration policies. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
