Turned Wooden Apple
Starts Sat, Nov 21, 4:00 PM · Member: $72.25 / Non-Member: $85.00

About the workshop
This one session workshop at GoggleWorks introduces woodturning by way of a small project: a turned wooden apple. You work on a lathe with guidance from instructor Luke Voytas, learning how the tools cut and shape the wood as your apple takes form.
It is open to all skill levels, and no prior experience with a lathe is needed. The class is for adults, and students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian. Wear closed-toe shoes, since the session takes place in a working shop. The Woodworking Studio is on the first floor of GoggleWorks at 201 Washington Street in Reading, and staff at the front desk can point you to the room when you arrive.
The workshop meets on a Saturday afternoon from 4 to 6 PM. Sign up through the class page on the GoggleWorks website. Registration closes five business days before the start date, so plan ahead if you want a spot.
