Hispanic Heritage Month: Art Pod DIY Maracas
Starts Tue, Sep 29, 3:30 PM · Free · Ages 0 to 17

About the class
The Northwest Branch of Reading Public Library marks Hispanic Heritage Month with an Art Pod craft session. Children and teens make their own maracas, a shaker instrument with deep roots in Latin American music, and take the finished piece home.
This is a drop-in style craft program for young people, with the branch supplying the materials. Families with younger children are welcome, and a grown-up can help with the steps that need extra hands. Come ready for a bit of glue, color and noise.
The program runs at the Northwest Branch at 901 Schuylkill Ave in Reading. Check the schedule panel for the day and time, and contact the branch ahead if you want to confirm space or ask about other Art Pod crafts offered during Hispanic Heritage Month.
