Improv Adventures is a playful theater class with no scripts and no wrong answers. Students play theater games, build characters, and make up scenes on the spot using their imaginations and teamwork.
The class works from the improv principle of "Yes, and...", so students learn to build scenes together, think on their feet, take creative risks, and support each other as an ensemble. Along the way they build confidence and strengthen communication skills, and they see that good ideas can arrive in the moment. It suits curious kids who like to act, laugh, and play. A member of the theater faculty leads the group.
The class meets on Friday evenings for eight weeks at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Registration is handled through the Yocum Institute, and tuition is due when you sign up.
