This ceramics class lets kids ages 5 to 12 make food out of clay that looks good enough to eat, but is purely for fun. Students hand-build playful versions of favorite treats such as pizza, hamburgers and cupcakes.
Using simple hand building techniques, kids shape both flat tile pieces and small three dimensional sculptures. They work on color, texture and small details to make each piece look extra tasty. Rebecca Kline teaches the class, which meets on Thursday evenings.
All materials are included, so students just need to come ready to get their hands into the clay. Registration is handled through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education in West Lawn.
