Yocum Co-Stars is an inclusive acting class for neurodiverse students and students with developmental differences who benefit from extra support. The setting is welcoming, structured and playful, and participants explore creative drama through movement games, storytelling, character work, music and imaginative play.
Each student is paired with a volunteer Co-Star from one of Yocum Theater's ensembles or the wider Yocum Theater community. Co-Stars act as supportive partners, helping students take part in activities, connect with others and celebrate their successes.
Students and Co-Stars work together to build confidence, communication skills, creativity and friendships while discovering the joy of theater in a space where every participant is valued and encouraged. The class meets Saturday mornings for six weeks and is taught by Andrea Kennedy Hart. Sign up through the Yocum Institute's class registration.
