Restaurants in Wyomissing, PA cluster by street, so pick the corridor first: Penn Avenue and State Hill Road carry the densest run of kitchens, Woodland Road holds a year round farmers market, Hill Avenue and North Park Road hold the newer sit-down cluster, and the mill buildings off Bern Road hold the beer. Everything below is confirmed operating and checked against municipal boundaries.

Why the ranked lists of Wyomissing restaurants get the geography wrong.

Almost nothing on the first page of results for this search was written by somebody who has stood on these streets. Roughly four out of five results belong to national aggregators, and most of what is left belongs to chain corporate location pages.

The errors are not subtle. One national booking platform files Wyomissing under Philadelphia County. It is Berks. A page one result for the exact phrase sits at a domain that does not resolve at all. Search for restaurants near the Broadcasting Square shopping center and two of the eight results are for Pittsburgh and for Marietta, Georgia.

The deeper problem is that these lists are assembled from feeds, not from visits. Search "open now" in Wyomissing and you can still be handed a fine dining steakhouse on North Park Road that closed permanently on March 14, 2026. A national chain restaurant at Broadcasting Square closed on April 28, 2026 as part of a company wide closing, and it is still on the shopping center's own tenant page. A feed does not know the difference between a restaurant and a record of one.

Which Wyomissing streets are in the borough, and which are Spring Township.

We ran the commercial addresses in this guide through the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder against current municipal boundaries, twice, by two different methods. Every address the federal boundary file covers came back the same both times. Here is what came back.

The result that surprised us: all of State Hill Road up to 2600, and the entire Woodland Road commercial strip, are inside Wyomissing borough. Meanwhile Broadcasting Square, Commerce Drive and Keiser Boulevard, which everyone calls Wyomissing, are Spring Township. Knitting Mills Way is new enough that it is not in the federal boundary file yet, so we describe it by street rather than by municipality.

Mailing addresses lie in both directions here, and the cleanest example is on Penn Avenue. The address 1147 Penn Ave lands inside Wyomissing borough whether you submit it as Wyomissing or as Reading, and the restaurant at that address gives its own address on its own website as Reading, PA 19610. Nobody is doing anything wrong. Wyomissing addresses and Wyomissing borough are simply two different maps.

Two more traps worth knowing before you type an address into your phone. East Wyomissing Avenue is in Mohnton and Cumru Township, not Wyomissing. West Wyomissing Boulevard is West Lawn.

How we picked the restaurants in this Wyomissing guide.

One standard, applied to every restaurant we write up below: the business had to be confirmed operating from its own channel or from dated local reporting. Where we have reader feedback we quote it, and where a place is too new for us to have any, we say so and leave it at that. Nothing here is ranked, and we grouped by street because that is how the town actually eats. Penn Avenue restaurants, the borough's own main street.

Penn Avenue between roughly 1000 and 1700 is the closest thing Wyomissing has to a traditional main street, and it is all borough. It is also short, which makes it the easiest corridor to walk.

Wyomissing Restaurant and Bakery, breakfast and lunch at 1245 Penn Ave.

This is the town's family restaurant in the plainest sense of the phrase, a roomy American room with a salad bar, a weekend breakfast buffet and a bakery attached. It runs daily from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. according to its own site, which makes it one of the few places on this list you can get to before work.

Order the fried chicken. Reviewers call it "definitely the star of the show!!!" and "to die for!", which is a lot of enthusiasm for a buffet line item. The made to order stations get the same treatment: one guest wrote that "we really enjoyed the omelette station and made to order pancakes."

The bakery earns its own mentions. "Home made donuts. What an establishment," one reviewer wrote, and another said "my daughter loves the donuts … the bakery is just awesome." If you are working through the county's morning options, it also turns up in our best breakfast in Berks County roundup.

Carlos Pizzeria Restaurant, the Penn Avenue address that says Reading.

Carlos Pizzeria Restaurant, also known as Carlo's Italian, is the 1147 Penn Ave address from the boundary section, sitting squarely in Wyomissing borough while its own website gives a Reading mailing address. Its site lists hours of 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily with a full menu.

Reviewers keep coming back to the bread. "Love their bread! … the wraps are very good," one wrote; another said "the bread used for the hoagies is amazing." That is a useful signal in a pizza shop, because bread is the part nobody fakes.

Beyond the pies, the garlic wings and the cheesesteak stromboli both draw repeat mentions, with one reviewer describing "huge fresh garlic wings" and another simply reporting that "we got the cheese steak Stromboli and it was delicious!" One reviewer called the cannoli the best ever. Take the compliment at whatever weight you like, but order one.

You can also get Casa W Distillery, LLC up the block at 1339 Penn Ave, a small distillery pouring its own rum and pitorro. It has a policy worth knowing about: guests report bringing in their own takeout to eat with the drinks.

State Hill Road restaurants, the busiest corridor in Wyomissing.

State Hill Road from 18 up to 2600 is entirely borough, and it is where most of the town's turnover happens. Two of the most interesting rooms on the road opened within the last two years.

Vinny G's, the pizza and sub shop that opened on State Hill Road.

Vinny G's opened on Monday, April 27, 2026, per WFMZ's reporting that day, in a space a juice bar vacated on January 3, 2026. Owners Santo and Katelyn Giannotti run it as a pizza, sub and Italian shop with roughly fifty seats inside and another twenty on the patio.

It is BYOB, and its own posted hours are Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., closed Sunday. We do not have review detail on it yet, so we will simply tell you it is there, it is open, and it is at the bottom of the hill.

Sam's Wyomissing Bistro, Mediterranean and Italian at 1714 State Hill Rd.

Sam's opened in late May 2025, covered by WFMZ that June and by the Reading Eagle on July 14, 2025. Chef owner Sam Abbas runs it as a Mediterranean and Italian kitchen, and its own listed hours run 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The building has a story. A family restaurant there announced a temporary closing in October 2024 and never reopened, after which the building was subdivided; a home and garden shop occupies the front portion today. The same address previously housed Arner's and, before that, Giannotti's.

We do not have review detail for Sam’s Wyomissing Bistro yet, so treat this as a pointer rather than a verdict.

Stefano's Ristorante and Bakery Café, Italian dinners at 1816 State Hill Rd.

Stefano's Ristorante & Bakery Café first opened its doors in January 2026 and celebrated its grand opening the following month, and BCTV published a review on April 24, 2026 describing a room that filled up while its reviewer ate.

Start with the calamari. One reviewer called it "the best I've ever had"; another wrote that it was "perhaps the best I've ever had, light, tender and perfectly done." One reviewer went further on the lemon piccata: "the best I've ever had, anywhere. Tons of lemon and capers."

Portions run large, and the plating gets noticed. "Our dinners were served on massive hubcap-sized plates!" one guest wrote. The attached bakery is not an afterthought either: one reviewer named the Strawberry Neapolitan, the cannoli and the tiramisu, and one wrote that "the dessert was AMAZING. You could tell it was freshly made."

Laxmi's Indian Grille, tandoori and curry at 1806 State Hill Rd.

Laxmi's Indian Grille is an Indian kitchen on this corridor and it is BYOB, which two reviewers name approvingly. "We appreciate the atmosphere and BYOB! We will definitely be back :)" one wrote.

The garlic naan repeats. One reviewer described it as "flakey, flavorful, buttery, and wrapped in foil to keep it warm," and another paired it with the mild chicken makhani as a standing order.

The kitchen will also meet you at your actual heat tolerance. One guest ordered lamb vindaloo extra spicy, asked for "South Indian spicy," and reported "they delivered!" Another reviewer summed up the food as "top tier Indian/desi food that holds its own against the best in the country."

San's Sushi Poke Ramen, the sushi counter at 1912 State Hill Rd.

San's Sushi Poke Ramen (No-2) is quiet and open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. according to its own site.

Get the poke or the ramen. One reviewer called it "the freshest/ most delicious poke i've had in a long time!!!" and another recommended "the spicy Beef Tonkotsu Ramen. The beef will melt in your mouth." Complimentary jasmine and green tea come with the meal, and the boba gets its own mentions.

The room reads as calm rather than lively. "Very calm and quiet place," one guest wrote; another said "the atmosphere was cozy!" A third put the location case more directly than we could: "FINALLY! A convenient place in Wyomissing to get the most delicious sushi, pokey, and ramen!"

Worth knowing: 1912 State Hill Rd holds two separate kitchens. Bella's Subs and Pizza shares the address, and its Grandma pizza and deep fried cheesesteak have their own following.

Berkshire Boulevard and the Berkshire Mall block in Wyomissing.

Berkshire Boulevard from 900 to 1177 is borough, and it runs parallel to the mall property. It is a strip center corridor, which means the good stuff is easy to drive past.

Thai Wat, the Berkshire Boulevard Thai kitchen at 1145.

Thai Wat Restaurant is a BYOB Thai restaurant in a shopping center, with a dining room decorated with more care than the setting suggests. One reviewer wrote that the "decor really is stunning, a beautiful tribute to Thai culture."

Order the basil fried rice, which one reviewer called "bursting with flavor," and start with the tulip dumplings; two guests named them specifically, one alongside the chicken satay. The Thai iced tea comes up too, described by one reviewer as "heavenly and perfectly sweet."

Vegetarians and vegans get room on this menu. "Excellent vegetarian options…they were very accommodating and made it easy to get dishes without meat," one reviewer wrote, and another counted "lots of options for vegans and vegetarians." Down the boulevard at 945, Gourmand Cafe and Catering handles the daytime end of things.

What the Berkshire Mall sale means for eating at 1665 State Hill Rd.

This is the biggest change coming to how Wyomissing eats, and it is a property story rather than a restaurant story. Abrams Realty and Development is under contract to buy the 910,000 square foot Berkshire Mall on 59 acres from Namdar Realty Group, per Bisnow's reporting on October 14, 2025 and WFMZ's the following day.

The stated plan demolishes nearly the entire enclosed structure, keeps Boscov's, and rebuilds the site as open air retail. The developer's timeline had the sale closing in March 2026, construction beginning in early 2027 and completion in mid 2028. Most current tenants are on short term leases.

For now, the counters are open. KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot opened at Suite 295 on Monday, March 16, 2026 at noon, per WFMZ's reporting that day, and it has its own exterior entrance, so you do not have to walk the mall to reach it. HOCAA BUBBLE TEA(Berkshire Mall) and The Coffee Corner are both at 1665 State Hill Rd as well, the first for brown sugar boba and build your own egg waffles, the second a small family run coffee counter with rotating house flavors.

If you have a favorite in that building, go soon rather than eventually. Leases that short do not usually get longer.

Woodland Road restaurants and the PA Dutch Farmers Market of Wyomissing.

Woodland Road from 760 to 1101 is borough, which catches people out, because the chain steakhouse at 1085 Woodland Rd carries a Reading mailing address and a Reading web address while sitting inside Wyomissing. It is a short strip with a lot packed into it.

Zaytoon Kabob Grill, Afghan food on Woodland Road.

Zaytoon Kabob Grill at 760 Woodland Rd is a family owned Afghan restaurant. BCTV featured it on May 15, 2026, and a local food publication's June 2026 editor's list for the county named it as one of ten.

The order to lead with is chicken or lamb over rice. One reviewer compared it directly to New York halal carts: "I was really amazed by the flavour of chicken over rice. Very similar to NYC carts." Another recommended getting both proteins "with both of their sauces." Take that literally; the white tzatziki based sauce and the red hot sauce are meant to be used together, and one guest described how "they complemented each other so nicely."

Look for the mantu and the bolani, which one reviewer reported running out. "We were lucky enough to get the last of the Mantu and Bolani," one wrote, "let me tell, they were so tasty, I understood why they ran out." The Qaimaq or pink chai is worth ordering by the pot; one guest called it "the perfect blend of sweetness with a touch of spice."

Everything is halal, which reviewers name specifically as a reason they come. Portions run big enough that guests mention taking food home, and the room itself gets described as "a well lit warm inviting space that smells amazing."

PA Dutch Farmers Market of Wyomissing, the stands at 845 Woodland Rd.

PA Dutch Farmer's Market of Wyomissing at 845 Woodland Rd is open Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., year round. It is the closest thing in town to a food hall, and it is a genuinely good lunch even if you buy nothing to take home.

One reviewer describes it as a "classic PA Dutch style farmers market with high quality homemade food," and another summarized the range this way: "excellent selection of meats and pastries and fresh produce, barbeque foods and more." The prepared food counters are the reason to time your visit around a meal. One guest wrote that "the turkey meatloaf is the best thing I've ever had! Get it!"

The barbecue counter is the one to plan for. Fishers Barbeque runs Thursday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and reviewers reach for superlatives: "Fisher's barbecue is the best chicken barbecue you can find," wrote one, and another said "best ribs and wings I ever had." Multiple reviewers separately named the BBQ carrots, including one who advised, "order the chicken platter with BBQ carrots and mashed potatoes, it will cure what ails ya."

Two more stands are worth a stop. Lil's Bakery draws praise for cakes, pies and bread, with one reviewer calling the raisin bread "hands down the absolute best I've ever had." Meme's Chocolates & Bulk Foods carries bulk spices, baking supplies and house made chocolate, and one reviewer describes it as a large stand with a lot of options.

Hill Avenue and North Park Road, the newer Wyomissing restaurant cluster.

This corridor is all borough, and it is where the addresses will trip you up, so read the suite numbers.

Kinya Ramen, and the Hill Avenue address most listings get wrong.

Kinya Ramen is at 945 Hill Ave, Suite 650, per its own website. A number of aggregators list it at 951, which is a different building. If you have driven around this block looking for it, that is why.

The tempura is the item reviewers single out. One reviewer wrote that "it was the best tempura I've ever had"; another gave it a straight shout out. The dynamite roll gets similar treatment, described by one guest as "one of the better I've ever had."

The room does a lot of work. One reviewer described "a welcoming environment and cozy… amazing lamps, pottery, and objects," and another summed the food up with a line we cannot improve on: "best Japanese food I've had, aside from my grandmother, of course." The bubble tea is worth adding.

While you are sorting addresses out: Café Folino is at 951 Hill Ave, Suite 3, and Vintner’s Table is at 945 Hill Ave, Suite 100. Similar names, adjacent buildings, completely unrelated businesses. Do not let a map app merge them for you.

Telia Perfect Greek, and the steakhouse that closed across the street.

Telia Perfect Greek at 400 N Park Rd is a modern Greek room, and it comes with a piece of neighborhood history attached. The fine dining steakhouse across the street at 305 N Park Rd, open since 2013, served its last day on March 14, 2026 after its owners sold following twelve plus years, per WFMZ's February 24, 2026 report. Those same owners still run Telia, directly across the road, with no changes announced.

Start with the baked feta. "The baked feta appetizer was amazing and I don't even usually like feta cheese!" one reviewer wrote. For a main, reviewers point at the Mediterranean shrimp pasta, one calling it "a knockout of the park," and at the lamb shank: "the lamb shank is to die for!!! The calamari and octopus are top notch!"

Finish with baklava and gelato. The bar gets its own credit, with one guest reporting simply that "the drinks are also phenomenal," and the room draws praise for restraint: "the atmosphere is really cool and the music plays at the right level." Reservations are worth making.

Further down the road at 840 N Park Rd, Nino's Pizza & Pasta is a straightforward neighborhood Italian shop known for its grandma pie and house made bread.

Bern Road and Knitting Mills Way, eating in the old Wyomissing mill buildings.

The Bern Road addresses from 1109 to 1150 are borough. Knitting Mills Way is a newer street that the federal boundary file has not caught up with, so we will describe it by street name and leave the municipality alone. Either way, this is the old industrial quarter, redeveloped, and it eats well.

Sly Fox Taphouse, beer and bar food on Knitting Mills Way.

Sly Fox Taphouse at 820 Knitting Mills Way is a spacious room with a center bar, a patio and enough screens to make it a game day option. Use the hours on its own site rather than a third party listing; its Sunday hours in particular are posted as 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the aggregators disagree.

Order the wings with honey sriracha. One reviewer put it plainly: "excellent wings and pierogies…try the wings, particularly with the Honey Sriracha sauce." Another called them the best ever and praised the blue cheese alongside.

Two sides come up constantly. The pretzel bites arrive with a mustard one reviewer called excellent and tangy, and the plain fries get a genuinely startling amount of love: "although fries are a basic staple…these French fries were very good," one wrote, while another said flatly that they were "probably the best I've had in my life."

The beer, unsurprisingly, holds up. "I had a flight of their beers and all were darn good," one reviewer reported, and another named the Rte. 113 IPA specifically. There is a recurring trivia night, and the patio gets described as "family friendly…perfect for watching a game or date night."

Two doors down the same redeveloped block: Russo Gourmet Foods And Market at 1150 Bern Rd is an Italian market with a salad and olive bar and oversized prepared pizzas, and Kimberton Whole Foods - Wyomissing at 810 Knitting Mills Way runs a smoothie bar and fresh made soups inside a repurposed 1940s building.

Wellington Boulevard, and the Wyomissing bar that cooks.

One Wellington Boulevard is borough, and it holds a single address worth the trip.

State Hill Craft Cocktails and Kitchen, 1 Wellington Blvd.

This is a cocktail bar with a kitchen that keeps up, running a seasonal menu that turns over quarterly and taking reservations online. A local food publication's June 2026 editor's list for the county named it among ten across Berks.

The drinks are the headline. "Just had the best cocktail I've ever had in my life! Thank you Mike!" one guest wrote, and another described the bartenders as "the definition of craft cocktailers."

From the kitchen, the seared scallops repeat: one reviewer had "the most superb scallops I've ever had," and another was so taken with the scallop smoked mac that they wrote about it holding its heat. The short rib croquettes have a good origin story too, arriving at one table by mistake and converting the guest anyway.

The other thing to know is the monthly themed brunch. "The only place in the Reading area that has themed brunches that are ACTUALLY themed from the staff being in character," one reviewer wrote, and another noted the brunch runs until 2:00. There is live music, and the room gets described as "visually pleasing in a MCM way."

Commerce Drive and Broadcasting Square, Wyomissing addresses in Spring Township.

Everything in this section has a Wyomissing mailing address and sits in Spring Township. That matters if you are looking up a municipal permit or a school district; it matters not at all to your dinner. This corridor also carries most of the area's national chains, which is a straightforward fact about how the land was developed and not a knock on anybody eating there.

Coastal Grille, seafood at Broadcasting Square.

Coastal Grille at 2713 N Meridian Blvd is a large modern seafood room with a wraparound bar, and it also does steaks and pasta. Its own site is current and it posts running specials.

The soup flight is the move. "Can we take a moment to appreciate a SOUP FLIGHT," one reviewer wrote, listing crab and corn chowder, lobster bisque and clam chowder, and adding "I would 100% order both again." Another called it simply delicious.

On the mains, one guest reported "fish was cooked to perfection. The salsa and lime drizzle was on point!" and another described "truly one of the best meals I've had in some time." Save room for the chocolate bag, a shareable dessert one reviewer describes as feeding four, with whipped cream and berries.

Two atmosphere notes. There is a large saltwater fish tank that guests write about unprompted, one calling it "very entertaining." And for anyone who cares about volume, a reviewer specifically praised that "the music is low for my easily overstimulated people."

What is coming to Wyomissing, and what is not open yet.

Three announced projects get treated as open by search results, and none of them are. Read the dates before you drive.

MaGerk's Pub and Grill has announced its first Berks County location at The Block at Wyomissing Square, bringing cheesesteaks and pub food from the Baltimore based chain. The company pointed to fall 2026, and a later report gave a tentative early September. Published street numbers for it conflict, so we are not printing one.

TAO Japanese Steakhouse and Bar has been announced for 305 N Park Rd, the former steakhouse space on the Hill Avenue corridor, offering hibachi and omakase from the same family that runs Masa Hibachi Sushi & Bar on Paper Mill Road. WFMZ reported it on February 27, 2026, with no opening date announced.

The Broadcast District is not Broadcasting Square, and confusing them will send you to the wrong corner. Broadcasting Square is the existing center that is open today. The Broadcast District is a new 103 acre, $350 million project at the southeast corner of Broadcasting and Paper Mill roads that broke ground on October 16, 2025, with 120,000 square feet of retail and 770 residential units, per the Reading Eagle's October 17, 2025 report. First tenant openings are projected for fall 2027. Its announced food lineup includes a Whole Foods Market anchor, Shake Shack, First Watch and BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, among others. As a footnote on how confusing this county's geography is to outsiders, the development's own website lists its location as being in Delaware County. It is Berks.

Berks County. Wyomissing is a borough immediately west of Reading in Berks County, Pennsylvania. At least one national restaurant booking platform files the town under Philadelphia County, which is simply an error in its data. If a site places Wyomissing near Philadelphia, treat everything else it tells you about the town with the same caution.

Are the Broadcasting Square restaurants actually in Wyomissing?

They carry Wyomissing mailing addresses and they sit in Spring Township. The same is true of the Commerce Drive restaurants and of the Paper Mill Road addresses from roughly 2400 up. We confirmed this by running the addresses through the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoder against current municipal boundaries. For finding dinner it makes no difference at all. For anything municipal, it makes all the difference.

What is happening to the Berkshire Mall and its food counters?

The mall at 1665 State Hill Rd is under contract for sale and slated for demolition. Abrams Realty and Development is buying the 910,000 square foot property on 59 acres from Namdar Realty Group, with a plan to demolish nearly the entire enclosed structure, keep Boscov's, and rebuild as open air retail; the developer's timeline pointed to construction starting in early 2027 and finishing mid 2028. Wyomissing Restaurant and Bakery on Penn Avenue opens at 6:00 a.m. daily and runs a weekend breakfast buffet with a made to order omelet station. Sam's Wyomissing Bistro on State Hill Road opens at 8:00 a.m., and Café Folino on Hill Avenue handles the coffee and pastry end. The PA Dutch Farmers Market on Woodland Road opens at 9:00 a.m. Thursday and Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday, and its prepared food counters are a legitimate breakfast option.

Four dated openings, newest first: Vinny G's on State Hill Road on April 27, 2026; KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot at 1665 State Hill Rd on March 16, 2026; Stefano's Ristorante and Bakery Café at 1816 State Hill Rd in January 2026; and Sam's Wyomissing Bistro at 1714 State Hill Rd in late May 2025. Two more have been announced but are not open: MaGerk's Pub and Grill at The Block at Wyomissing Square, and TAO Japanese Steakhouse and Bar in the former steakhouse space at 305 N Park Rd.
