Advance Auto Parts

Nestled in the heart of Reading, PA, Advance Auto Parts is more than just an auto parts store. We’re your neighborhood car accessories store, car battery store, tool rental service, and truck accessories store—all under one roof. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast tackling weekend projects or a professional mechanic looking for quality parts on the fly, our mission is to get you back on the road safely and sooner.

A Comprehensive Selection for Every Vehicle

At Advance Auto Parts, you’ll find an extensive inventory that caters to cars, trucks, SUVs, and more. From spark plugs and brake pads to high-performance filters and floor mats, we stock name-brand and budget-friendly parts alike. Our in-store shelves are constantly updated so you can count on real-time availability. While some customers have noted occasional gaps between advertised items and on-hand stock, our team works diligently to keep shelves full and to suggest suitable alternatives when your first choice isn’t in reach.

Expert Assistance That Makes the Difference

One of the hallmarks of our Reading, PA location is the deep product knowledge and genuine care shown by our team—especially by customer favorites like Santos Pabon and Liz.
• Santos Pabon has earned rave reviews for his clear, step-by-step guidance. Customers say he not only finds the right wiper blades but also explains installation techniques in a way that boosts confidence.
• Liz has built a reputation for going above and beyond, whether it’s hunting down a rare part for a classic Beetle or double-checking fitment details. Her proactive approach turns what could be a frustrating search into a smooth, personalized experience.

We aim for every visit to deliver that same level of one-on-one attention. While some guests have encountered a less engaged team member or two, the majority depart impressed by the friendly greetings, hands-on help, and tailored solutions they receive.

Fast, Convenient Services to Keep You Moving

Speed and convenience are critical when your schedule is tight. Our free battery installation service stands out as a crowd favorite—when staffed and available, we’ll swap out your old car battery on the spot, so you’re back on the road in minutes. “He installed it for me immediately,” one customer shared, “and I was very happy with their prompt and friendly service.”

We also offer tool rental services for everything from spring compressors to specialty brake tools. Rent what you need for a fraction of the purchase price, complete your repair, and return the tool—no long-term commitment required. This flexible option is ideal for occasional DIYers who don’t want to invest in a seldom-used tool set.

Streamlined Returns & Exchanges

We understand that buying the wrong part can derail your day. Our returns and exchange policies aim to be clear and consistent. Although a few customers have experienced rigidity—especially with opened items—our goal is to listen to your concerns and find a fair resolution, whether it’s an immediate exchange or a store credit for future purchases.
