Thoughtfully Appointed Rooms for Extended Stays & Events

As an extended stay hotel, Candlewood Suites Reading by IHG specializes in spacious, studio-style suites that empower guests to settle in rather than just “check in.” Each room features:

• A fully equipped kitchenette, complete with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, pots, pans, and utensils. Guests consistently rave, “Kitchenette made things so much easier,” and appreciate the freedom to prepare late-night snacks or an early morning coffee without leaving their suite.
• Generous work and living areas to accommodate remote work, informal meetings, or relaxation after a long day. Whether you’re hosting a small gathering in your suite or winding down with a movie, the layout adapts seamlessly to your needs.
• Complimentary free laundry facilities just down the hall—a must-have for anyone on an extended stay. One guest noted, “Free washing and drying is a plus—I never had to worry about clean clothes for my business trip.”

Exceptional Service That Feels Like Home

What truly sets Candlewood Suites Reading apart is its team of friendly, approachable professionals who go above and beyond. From the instant you arrive, you’re greeted with genuine warmth:

• “Eddie at the front desk was welcoming and quick to help,” recalls a repeat guest.
• “Edelyn had the gas tanks for the grill filled fast,” another reviewer adds, highlighting the little touches that turn a stay into an experience.
Personalized attention extends beyond check-in—whether it’s recommending local dining hotspots, fixing a glitch in your in-suite amenities, or ensuring your wedding rehearsal dinner goes off without a hitch, staff members like Tammy and Charles are always ready to assist with a smile.

Amenities That Make Every Stay Effortless

Candlewood Suites Reading doesn’t stop at the room door. The hotel boasts a range of on-site conveniences designed to make your visit effortless:

• A 24-hour convenience store located in the lobby ensures you can grab forgotten toiletries, late-night snacks, or that extra bottle of water without trekking off property. “I love the fact that they have a 24-hour store in the hotel in case you get late night munchies or forget something. Such an asset!!!!”
• Free, well-maintained fitness facilities let you stick to your workout routine—whether you’re burning off business-lunch calories or training for your next 5K.
• Meeting rooms and banquet spaces adaptable for conferences, seminars, or wedding receptions. Audio-visual equipment, flexible seating, and in-house catering options create a seamless planning process for corporate events or once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

Prime Location for Business and Leisure Travelers

Convenience is part of the Candlewood experience.

• Situated just off the highway, the hotel’s location earns praise for “easy on/off the highway” access, making it a favorite among road-weary travelers.
• Ample free parking removes any stress about finding a spot for your rental car or company vehicle.
• A five-minute walk puts you amid Reading’s lively dining and retail scene. Guests love knowing that “everything you need is within a 5-minute walk,” from trendy coffee shops to authentic eateries.

Cleanliness and Comfort with Room for Improvement

Housekeeping and maintenance responses are mixed, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to high standards and occasional oversights:

• Many guests applaud the “large rooms [that] were spotlessly clean” and appreciate dispensers for soap and shampoo that reduce plastic waste.
• A few travelers arrived to find neglected housekeeping—sticky floors, crumbs, and even leftover food in the refrigerator. While these occurrences are not the norm, Candlewood Suites Reading by IHG takes every comment to heart and continuously trains its team to uphold pristine standards.
• Room comfort also sees a blend of praise and constructive feedback: plush beds and thoughtful amenities delight many, while others have noted “visible bulges in the mattress” or “weak water pressure.” Management addresses these concerns promptly, replacing worn fixtures and refreshing mattresses to ensure your rest is uninterrupted.

Value-Driven Rates and Flexible Options

Delivering strong value is central to Candlewood’s ethos.

• Guests often celebrate the balance between price and amenities: “Overall, this day was a great value for the money,” writes one satisfied traveler.
• That said, a handful of reviews remind us that expectations rise with rates. For “almost two hundred and fifty dollars a night,” some guests anticipate perfection in every detail. Candlewood Suites Reading uses this feedback to drive continuous improvement—ensuring that every dollar you spend delivers the comfort, convenience, and service you deserve.
