A Tradition of Quality You Can Taste

At Kauffman’s, we believe that great food starts with great ingredients. Our customers often remark simply, “Good food,” and we take that as high praise—because delivering consistently good food is no small feat. We forge relationships with local suppliers whenever possible, ensuring that produce is at its peak and deli offerings are prepared fresh each morning. That attention to detail translates into meals that nourish families, delight busy professionals and keep hungry students coming back for more.

The Impact of “Good Food” in Our Community

When patrons say “good food,” they’re talking about more than taste—they’re describing the feeling of confidence that comes from feeding themselves and their loved ones well. For many in Reading, Kauffman’s Deli & Grocery is more than a store; it’s a partner in day-to-day life.

Imagine a tired parent grabbing quick deli sandwiches that taste homemade, or a young couple discovering a new spice that inspires a weekend cooking adventure. Each positive review echoes the same simple truth: dependable quality makes life a little easier and a lot more enjoyable.

A Warm, Neighborhood Experience

Beyond the products, Kauffman’s stands out for its inviting atmosphere. Our friendly staff greets each customer by name and offers personalized recommendations—whether you’re seeking the perfect cold cut combination or trying to decide between two olive oils. That personalized touch turns a routine grocery run into a welcoming experience you might not find at larger chain stores.

We’re proud to be a gathering place for neighbors. It’s not unusual to hear snippets of conversation about family recipes, local events or weekend plans while browsing the produce section.
