A One-Stop Shop for Every Pet

At Petco Stowe, our wide-ranging product selection means you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for—often in one trip.

• Fish and Aquatic Supplies: From goldfish and tropical fish to high-performance filtration systems and colorful aquarium décor, our freshwater and saltwater sections are continuously updated. Many customers rave, “Great place to find everything I need for my fish, dogs, and cats,” while specialty hobbyists appreciate our hard-to-find items.
• Reptile and Amphibian Care: Planning to bring home a leopard gecko, crested gecko, or bearded dragon? Our tanks, heat lamps, and substrate options cover every species requirement. One reviewer singled out “Anna (or Hannah) with blondish hair” for her expert guidance, helping them pick the ideal leopard gecko and get started on the right foot.
• Dog & Cat Essentials: Discover a curated assortment of food, treats, toys, and grooming products. Our freeze-dried kibble, in particular, draws pet owners looking for affordable, high-quality nutrition. As one happy customer noted, “This is the only place I can find freeze-dried kibble at an affordable price—plus it’s a great social environment for my rescue dog!”

Caring Staff with Specialized Expertise

We pride ourselves on a team that loves pets as much as you do. Across our sales floor, many customers report friendly, approachable associates who offer genuine help and personalized recommendations.

• Nikki’s Exceptional Grooming: Time and again, clients praise Nikki for her gentle touch and professionalism. One dog owner shared, “She was awesome—my 13-year-old 112-lb golden retriever has never looked better, and the price was extremely reasonable.”
• First-Time Groom Success with Cara: Newcomers to grooming leave glowing reviews after sessions with Cara, noting her warm greetings and thorough answers to every question. “My boy looks like a rock star,” wrote one delighted pet parent.
• Reptile Expertise from Anna (or Hannah): Choosing a reptile can be daunting, but our reptile specialists make it a breeze. From tank setup to feeding schedules, their patient guidance leaves reptile owners feeling confident and empowered.

That said, we recognize that busy days can sometimes leave a few customers waiting for attention. If you ever feel overlooked on the sales floor, please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance—our goal is to make every visit seamless and stress-free.

Pristine Environments & Animal Wellness

Animal health begins with a clean, well-maintained habitat. Many visitors praise our sparkling tanks and happy, active fish. “The tanks were very clean and the fish looked healthy,” reports one aquarist. Our bird, small mammal, and reptile displays receive regular checks and daily care to ensure well-being.
We also acknowledge areas for improvement—some guests have spotted dirty cages or water bowls in need of attention. We take this feedback seriously, continuously adjusting routines to ensure every animal enjoys a hygienic, comfortable home.

Grooming & Veterinary Care You Can Trust

Beyond supplies, Petco Stowe offers full-service grooming and in-house veterinary care:

• Grooming Services: Skilled groomers handle breeds of all sizes—whether it’s a summer shave for your shih-Tzu or a show-style trim for your golden retriever. Although wait times can sometimes stretch longer than expected, our team works diligently to keep schedules on track and communicate any delays.
• Veterinary Services: From routine vaccinations to wellness exams, our vets deliver compassionate, transparent care. While many clients applaud our doctors and nurses for their thoughtful approach, others have experienced miscommunications around charges or treatment plans. We’re committed to clearer explanations and advance consent to ensure you always feel in control of your pet’s healthcare.

Navigating Your Visit

We strive to keep aisles open and well-stocked, but during busy restocking periods, you may encounter narrow passageways. To help you shop with ease:

• Look for our friendly stock associates—just a quick call, and they’ll clear a path.
• Plan ahead for grooming or vet appointments by booking early, especially on weekends and holidays.

Your patience is appreciated as we juggle multiple pet services under one roof. Our aim is to deliver the high-quality experience you expect from Petco, every time you visit.
