As Lancaster’s go-to comic book store, we blend old-school ambiance with modern convenience, offering everything from the latest new releases to vintage back issues, action figures, card games, and specialty finds. Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a first-time visitor, or a tabletop tournament veteran, The Comic Store has something to captivate your imagination.

Extensive Selection & Unique Finds

Stepping into The Comic Store feels like embarking on a treasure hunt. Shoppers consistently rave about our “huge selection of new and old comics, games, action figures and cards,” and our “massive amount of collectibles, board games, card games, statues and graphic novels.” Beyond mainstream titles, we curate niche items too—like our eye-catching collection of graphic Bibles, an inventive format that delights families seeking a fresh way to experience timeless stories. With rows of floor-to-ceiling bins, display shelves, and specialty boxes, you’re bound to stumble upon both sought-after issues and hidden gems.

Community & Events That Come Alive

At The Comic Store, we’re more than just a shop; we’re a gathering spot for Lancaster’s pop culture enthusiasts. Every other Wednesday, seasoned game-masters helm our Magic: The Gathering nights, drawing a dedicated crowd that “has been consistently attending for years.” From casual drafts to competitive leagues, these gatherings forge friendships and foster a genuine sense of community. We also host regular gaming events for board and card games, welcoming players of all skill levels. And on special occasions—like Free Comic Book Day—guests enjoy complimentary comics and ample free parking, ensuring that your first visit is as effortless as it is memorable.

Box Subscription & Pull-List Service – Convenience Redefined

Never miss an issue again with our personalized pull-list and box subscription service. Just tell us your favorites, and we’ll reserve new releases on your behalf. Many customers marvel that “your pull list is there waiting for you every week,” and appreciate our team’s willingness to order out-of-stock issues—sometimes shipping them directly to the store at no extra charge. It’s this level of dedication that turns punctual pickups into a hassle-free ritual and keeps collectors coming back.

Value, Pricing & Expert Curation

We strive to balance fair pricing with the thrill of discovery. Many patrons applaud our “fair prices” and express confidence in our staff’s knowledge when determining condition and value. For rare back issues, we adhere to near-mint grading, ensuring collectors invest in quality. While a handful of guests find certain back-issue prices steeper than expected, most agree that our rigorous grading standards and wide selection make The Comic Store the ideal place to build or complete any collection.

Nostalgic Atmosphere & Personalized Service

Housed in a charming, historic building, The Comic Store exudes an authentic, old-school vibe. The air hums with the quiet excitement of fellow aficionados flipping through long boxes, the smell of new print mingling with nostalgia. Though the layout can feel dense—boxes brimming with comics and shelves laden with figurines—many shoppers delight in the “treasure-hunt” experience. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff members are always on hand to guide you to a specific issue or recommend a new series. While we acknowledge some visitors have occasionally felt unattended at first, we’re continuously refining our greeting process to ensure every guest feels warmly welcomed from the moment they step inside.

Located just off Lancaster’s main thoroughfare, The Comic Store offers free on-site parking—a rare perk in the downtown area. Whether you’re dropping by for a quick pickup or settling in for an evening of gaming, you’ll find navigating to and from the shop a breeze.
