Whether you’re on a romantic weekend, a family getaway, or a leisurely antiques-shopping excursion, VAAST B&B combines historic elegance, thoughtful amenities, and personalized hospitality to create an unforgettable stay.

A Storied Setting with Period Charm

From the moment you approach the wraparound porch and admire the turned wood spindles and stained-glass windows, you’ll understand why guests describe VAAST as “fully restored to its original wonder.” Period-appropriate furnishings, delicate floral wallpapers, and original hardwood floors transport visitors to an era of gracious living. Yet every detail has been updated for today’s traveler: discreet climate control, private en-suite bathrooms, and a secure, keyless entry system ensure peace of mind and modern convenience.

Warm Hospitality—With a Personal Touch

Owners Amanda and Thomas strive to make every guest feel like part of the family. Many visitors praise Amanda’s cheerful attentiveness—“Amanda was an amazing host!”—while others have found her style more reserved. Regardless of your preference for interaction, you can count on professional service and quick responses to any request. Pre-arrival emails introduce you to the simple code-based entry procedure, so you can come and go on your own schedule.

Cozy, Spotless Rooms

Each of VAAST’s six guest rooms has been meticulously maintained for both comfort and cleanliness. Visitors consistently note the “spacious, clean rooms” outfitted with plush bedding, well-appointed furniture, and quiet corners perfect for reading or planning your day. Thoughtful extras—such as blackout curtains, individual climate controls, and USB charging ports—underscore the B&B’s commitment to a restful stay.

Amenities That Delight Guests of All Ages

VAAST B&B goes beyond the ordinary. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, family fun, or a bit of friendly competition, you’ll find something to suit every mood:

• Game Room & Interactive Tablet: Challenge family or friends to board games on the giant touchscreen tablet, drop in a classic video game, or play a round of pool, air hockey, or table tennis.
• In-Ground Salt Water Pool: Cool off on a warm afternoon in your very own private pool surrounded by lush landscaping.
• Massage Chair: Unwind after a day of exploring with the surprisingly indulgent massage chair, a perennial guest favorite.
• Pet Ambassadors: Meet Sky, Storm, and Tsunami (the resident dogs) and Tallahassee (the cat), the four-legged hosts whose friendly greetings have been called “the real stars of the show.”

Hearty Breakfasts to Fuel Your Adventures

Each morning, wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a hot, plentiful breakfast spread. Guests rave about the variety—fluffy pancakes, seasonal fruit, homemade granola, and more—served in the sunlit dining room. Whether you prefer a classic eggs-and-bacon plate or lighter options like yogurt parfaits, you’ll find something to satisfy your appetite before heading out to explore Lancaster County.

Prime Location for Dining, Antiques & More

Located within easy walking distance of Adamstown’s iconic antique district and local eateries, VAAST B&B places you in the heart of one of Pennsylvania’s premier shopping destinations. Stroll along Route 272 to browse century-old treasures, stop for a casual lunch at a nearby café, or plan a scenic bike ride through rolling farmland. If you prefer a guided outing, the hosts are happy to recommend hidden gems—including historic covered bridges and family-run cider mills.

Accessibility & Special Requests

While the mansion’s historic layout includes narrow, steep staircases—“these steps … ridiculous,” as one guest put it—VAAST accommodates visitors with mobility concerns by assigning lower-level rooms (Rooms 5 and 6). The coded entry ensures privacy, and hosts remain on call to assist with luggage or special needs.
