When: PARKLAND HOURS ARE FROM DAWN TO DUSK (borough kiosk sign). The borough ordinance words it as no entry one hour after sunset until one hour before sunrise.

Parking: The borough map marks several parking areas in the parklands along Old Wyomissing Road and Parkside Drive North and South, near the Old Mill, the Stone House, the Duck Pond and the athletic fields; the trail guide says there are numerous parking areas for those who arrive by auto. The borough's parks page lists the Parklands Open Space and Trail System at 1216 Parkside Drive North.
Dogs: Pets are permitted, but must be leashed at all times. Bag your pet's waste and take it with you; do not throw bags in the woods.
Know before you go: Stay on designated trails; no motorized vehicles; stay out of the creeks, ponds and wetlands and no swimming. Carry out your trash, including food scraps. No hunting or trapping; fishing is permitted under PA fishing laws. Alcoholic beverages and controlled substances are prohibited.
