It keeps to animals of this continent, desert reptiles, grassland grazers, carnivores, birds and nocturnal species, laid out as an 11 acre walk that takes about an hour. The zoo says more than 200 animals live here. A footbridge links it to Hersheypark, and on fall weekends the Creatures of the Night evenings let you explore the grounds by flashlight after dark.
Before you go
Parking is free at 201 Park Avenue, with overflow at the Hershey Press Building garage at 27 West Chocolate Avenue. You may bring packed lunches and coolers (no grills). The zoo is cashless. Animals are most active in the morning and in cooler months.
