An afternoon of tasting and music comes to the Reading Liederkranz, where breweries, vineyards, cideries, and distilleries pour for a crowd of Greater Reading enthusiasts. The gathering brings fans of craft beer, wine, cider, and spirits together for a relaxed afternoon, with food available for purchase from the Liederkranz kitchen.
The event is presented by the Antietam Valley Community Partnership, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) service organization. Proceeds go toward AVCP's mission of improving quality of life in the Antietam Valley, funding community programs such as scholarships for local high school graduates, summer movies at the A-field, holiday food distribution for Antietam School District families, and the holiday tree lighting, along with the continued renovation of Carsonia Park.
The Liederkranz is a German-American social club set on more than ten acres atop Mount Penn, near the Pagoda, Stokesay Castle, and Antietam Lake, with on-site parking and plenty of room to wander between pours.
