Spring Township Parks and Recreation invites neighbors to West Lawn Park for Fall Family Fun Day on Saturday, October 24, an afternoon built around cooler weather, autumn color, and time outdoors with the people you like best. It is one of the season's signature township gatherings and a easygoing way for families across the West Lawn and Sinking Spring area to enjoy the park together.
The day closes with a musical presentation called "Rockin' thru the Revolution" from local artist Damien Drago. Drago is a fifth-grade teacher in the Governor Mifflin area and a history buff and musician who pairs his love of the past with songwriting, and he writes and performs songs about American history to get young audiences excited about it. The set lands well with kids and with the grown-ups who came along, closing out the township's year of America 250 programming on a high note.
