Weaver's Orchard turns the first Saturday of October into a full day on the farm, with pick your own fall favorites, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, and a sunflower field you can take in from a viewing tower. Wander the market for pumpkins, apples, and seasonal gifts, then say hello to the goats and chickens before finding a spot in the sun.
Kids have plenty of room to run, from duck races and apple bobbing to pumpkin bowling, ring toss, and tic tac toe, plus corn bins, a small hay bale maze, and a hay bale tower play area with tunnels and a ball pit. Magician Ed Schmitt performs two morning shows at 10:30 and 11:15, and Henry Hopf plays live music from 1pm to 5pm.
Food is a big part of the day. Sammy's Fries, Bop Hop Cotton Candy, Big Back Burgers, Tony Luke's, and Cousins Maine Lobster are on site, while the Food Shed serves apple pie focaccia, apple cider lemonade, loaded chili, and warm apple pie with whipped cream. Save room for an apple cider slushie float with cider donuts, or stop into Kim's Cafe.
