GlowFest brings an evening of light and motion to the 600 and 700 blocks of Penn Street as Downtown Reading marks the fall season. Expect a street festival atmosphere built around lights, music and activities, with the blocks closed off so people can wander, gather and enjoy the city after dark.
A highlight of the evening is the Glow Run, presented in partnership with Nemesis Fitness. Runners take off from the 600 block of Penn Street, make their way through Downtown and finish back at the festival, so the crowd on Penn Street gets to see both the start and the return.
The City of Reading and the Downtown Reading team organize the event, and additional details about activities, vendors and participating businesses are shared as the date approaches. It is a good excuse to spend an autumn evening Downtown and see the neighborhood lit up.
