The Reading Liederkranz opens its Oktoberfest season with a kickoff party at the club on Spook Lane. Doors are open from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to settle in with friends, raise a glass, and get a taste of what the German Singing and Sport Society does best.

The Cheyenne band takes over at 7:00 PM with a set of classic rock, so the evening moves from an easygoing early gathering into a full night of music. It is a fitting warm-up for the larger Oktoberfest celebration that follows later in the season.

This is a well known gathering spot for anyone who enjoys German food, drink, and community in Berks County, and the kickoff party is an easy way to experience it whether you are a longtime member or stopping in for the first time.
