Story Lane Book Fair & Market
October 3, 2026 · 1:00 PM · Reading Public Library, 100 N. 5th Street · Free and open to the public

About the event
The Reading Public Library turns into a gathering place for readers of every age with Story Lane Book Fair & Market. Things get underway inside the library in the early afternoon, with activities aimed at children leading the way.
At 4 p.m. the event spills outdoors, where food trucks, live performances, and local vendors fill out a market stocked with finds for bookworms of all interests. The library itself wraps up at 6 p.m., and the outdoor night market keeps going until 9 p.m., so the afternoon story time crowd and the evening browsing crowd each get their own stretch of the day.
Getting there is straightforward. On-street parking is free after 6 p.m., and the Reading Parking Authority garage at 4th and Cherry Streets sits directly across from the market, putting you a short walk from the tables, the food, and the music.
