About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University team up for the Summer Dance Series for Adults, with this session set for March 23, 2027 at 6:00 PM on the Alvernia campus at 400 St. Bernardine St. in Reading. The nine week series is shaped for studio teachers, college students, and adults who have been curious about trying dance for the first time, with different level options and class times so you can find the fit that suits you.
The lineup across the series covers a wide range of movement. Jessica Warchal-King leads Beginning Jazz, Beginning Modern, and Beginning Ballet alongside Sarena Gable, while Arielle Ridley teaches Intermediate Contemporary, Megan Zalek teaches Floor Work, and Amanda Pena teaches Flamenco. The instructors are working dancers and educators who guide participants toward the joy and connection that come with moving together.
JCWK Dance Lab is directed by Berks County native Jessica Warchal-King, a performer, choreographer, and educator who serves as a lecturer and artist in residence in dance at Alvernia University. The company builds its work around joy, connection, and wellness, and its Greater Reading Area Dance Exchange highlights dance opportunities for adults across Berks County.
