About the event
JCWK Dance Lab teams up with Alvernia University for a dance series built for adults, whether you teach at a studio, take classes on campus, or have never set foot in a dance room before. Sessions offer different levels and times, and the instructors are working dancers and educators who focus on the joy and connection that come from moving together.
The series moves through a range of styles across its three parts. Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley open things up, followed by Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, then Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King and Flamenco with Amanda Pena.
JCWK Dance Lab is led by Berks County native Jessica C. Warchal-King, a performer, choreographer and educator who serves as a lecturer and artist in residence in dance at Alvernia. The company centers its work on creating joy, connection and wellness through dance, and that spirit carries into the studio at these classes.
