About the event
JCWK Dance Lab teams up with Alvernia University for a nine-week dance series made for adults, whether you teach at a studio, study in college, or have never set foot in a dance class before. The session at 400 St. Bernardine St. in Reading begins at 6:00 PM, and the instructors are working dancers and educators who focus on the joy and connection that come with moving together.
The series moves through several styles across its run. Offerings include Beginning Jazz and Beginning Modern with Jessica Warchal-King, Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley, Floor Work with Megan Zalek, Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King, and Flamenco with Amanda Pena. Classes come with different level options and time slots, so there is room to start where you are.
JCWK Dance Lab is directed by Jessica Warchal-King, a performer, choreographer, educator, and arts advocate who earned her MFA in Performance and Choreography from Temple University. The organization also runs The Greater Reading Area Dance Exchange, which shares information about dance opportunities for adults in Berks County and the surrounding areas. Full class details are available at jcwkdancelab.org/summerseries.
