The Reading Royals welcome the Trois-Rivières Lions to Santander Arena for a Saturday night ECHL matchup, with the puck dropping at 7:00 PM. The two clubs are North Division rivals in the Eastern Conference, so points are on the line for both sides. The Lions come to Berks County from Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and skate as an affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.
This game is also Military Appreciation Night, a chance for the arena to recognize service members, veterans, and their families as part of the evening's presentation.
Bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal along, because the Teddy Bear Toss returns. When the Royals score their first goal, fans send their bears over the glass and onto the ice, and the collected stuffed animals are distributed around the community for the holiday season. It is one of the more memorable sights of the Reading hockey calendar and an easy tradition for families and first-time visitors to join.
