Penn Avenue turns into a street party for West Reading Fall Fest, with the heart of downtown given over to vendors, food, drinks, and live entertainment from late morning through early evening. It is one of the season's largest community gatherings in Berks County, and an easy way to spend a Saturday close to home.

Plan on browsing the vendor tables, catching music along the way, and picking up something to eat while you walk. The shops, restaurants, and businesses that line the Avenue are part of the day too, so there is plenty of reason to step inside and look around between stops.

The festival is built for a mix of ages, with family-friendly activities alongside the food and entertainment. Comfortable shoes help, since the fun stretches along the street, and arriving with an appetite is a sound strategy.
