The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older. If you want help with the rebate application, the PA-1000, check the eligibility guidelines for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program itself at pa.gov/agencies/revenue/ptrr. The income limits are not printed here.

Department of Revenue staff at these centers can also help you file your Pennsylvania personal income tax return, the PA-40, before the April 15th deadline. People filing a PA-40 may also benefit from the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit. If you think you might qualify for that credit, you need to bring a copy of your completed federal tax return, IRS Form 1040, to the center you are visiting. Taxpayers who received more than $33 in total gross taxable income in calendar year 2025 had to file a Pennsylvania personal income tax return by midnight, Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

If you need help with the PA-40, bring: - your tax information and income statements - a photo identification card, such as a driver's license - Social Security cards for yourself and your dependents
