Free Music Therapy Groups for People With Autism in Berks County
The Autism Society of Berks County runs free music therapy groups led by Board Certified Music Therapist Cindy Long at its office in Temple, for people with autism and their families in Berks County.
The groups are open to those with autism who live in or attend school in Berks County, PA. No age limit is printed. Siblings are welcome to join in. An adult must attend with the participant, and drop-offs are not permitted.
Sessions are held on Wednesdays at the office at 704 Hay Road, Temple, PA. Classes run 30 minutes. Placement is set by age group, with the younger students starting earlier, usually at 5:00 pm. Cindy Long works in the Reading, PA area, has additional training in Neurologic Music Therapy, and has over 25 years of experience providing music therapy to schools, nursing homes, summer camps, organizations and individuals with special needs.
There is no cost. The Autism Society provides the groups at no cost to families through community donations and funds raised at its annual Walk for Autism Awareness.
