Free and Reduced Price School Meals in Kutztown Area School District
Kutztown Area School District lets families apply for free or reduced price school breakfast and lunch for their children through a SchoolCafe account. The district takes part in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program.
To find out if your family is eligible, submit an application through your SchoolCafe account at schoolcafe.com. The page links to the federal National School Lunch Program Income Eligibility Guidelines but does not print the income figures itself, so check those guidelines or ask the Food Service Department about your household size.
Applications are processed upon receipt, and households are informed of the results in a letter from the Food Service Department. Students receiving free or reduced price meals are not identified in any way, because confidentiality is handled through the district's point of sale system.
Applications are accepted year round. For new applicants and for eligibility changes, the decision takes effect as of the application date. Applications must be updated on or before October 7, 2026 for uninterrupted eligibility.
