Outpatient Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Treatment in Wyomissing From Caron

For mental health, patients can have individual sessions with a therapist alongside group therapy or as their primary treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma and bipolar diagnoses, with the attending psychiatrist involved in treatment planning and monitoring medication. Trauma treatment includes group therapy plus individual sessions using approaches such as cognitive processing therapy or EMDR. A racial trauma therapy group is designed for people of color to process racialized and intergenerational trauma, using storytelling, role playing, art, music, psychoeducation and food.
Anyone who has completed a treatment program at the center can attend free weekly alumni aftercare groups. Caron's Recovery Services, including screenings, My Recovery Connection, stabilization, family meetings and recovery coaching, are available to anyone who needs them, even if they did not have treatment at Caron.
