Summary of position :

The primary responsibility of the Job Coach is to provide both on-site and off-site training and support to students with disabilities for the development of appropriate vocational, social, recreational, and daily living skills. This position may serve in various locations including community sites, school districts, and/or BCIU-operated Transition to Adult Life Programs.

Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):

Preview anticipated vocational, social, recreational, and daily living settings both on and off-site for students with special needs.

Transport and/or accompany students to new learning environments.

Assist in the learning of specific job responsibilities and expectations prior to tasks/activities.

Monitor, document, and maintain an ongoing file of student performance and ability through activity assessment sheets, daily training logs, student performance evaluations, and other related documentation.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED.

Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

Access to a vehicle with proof of liability insurance.

Experience working in educational/vocational settings.

Locations:

BCIU Main Office

Twin Valley School District - Part-time, up to 22.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined based on student and district needs

Wilson School District

Schedule:

Full-time unless otherwise noted, 35 hours/week, 10 month/year

Salary:

$21.65 high school diploma/GED

$22.05 Bachelor's Degree
