Beginner Line Dancing with Betsy is a morning dance class at the Berks Encore Douglassville Wellness and Activity Center. Betsy leads the group through basic line dance steps, so you can start from the beginning and follow along at a comfortable pace. No partner is needed, since line dancing is done side by side in rows.
The class meets on Friday mornings at 9:30 at the center on Weavertown Road in Douglassville. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move and turn in easily. A second line dancing class with Jean and Linda follows at 10:15 for dancers who want to keep going after the beginner session.
The Douglassville center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the activity schedule is set each month. To ask about joining the class, call the center at (610) 582-1603 or speak with center manager Sharon Pedrick.
